Description

Antique single bed made around 1910 probably, in cast iron with a pale blue paint, topped with decorative brass rails, rings and bed knobs. It fits together with iron bars with jigsaw shaped ends which push into the ends: quite effective way of doing it. Rather than slats, this has a solid divan base (possibly original) which sits on the side bars. Condition is pretty good structurally: it's solid and there's little movement. The brass rings had three missing bolts with brass ball tops: we've improvised some with old handle components. Not perfect, as they have a little hole in them but better than nothing! I haven't updated the photos yet; they show the missing ones..will try harder. Cosmetic scuffs here and there but not too bad. Anyway, it's a nice little bed and is priced reasonably for the condition Dimensions: 91cm x 203cm x 135cm high (mattress area 194cm x 90cm)
